Mohinders x Jungmaven Pop Up at Bridge & Burn DTLA
Maybe style used to only be about aesthetics, but what about the ethics? Thanks to brands like Mohinders Shoes and Jungmaven Hemp Clothing, responsible fashion is the name of a new revolution.
With great pleasure, Bridge & Burn hosts these fine brands for a unique one day pop-up event on Sunday, March 4th. Join us at our new retail space at ROW DTLA in downtown Los Angeles, where you can learn more about and purchase their ethically-produced products, while enjoying free libations.
Mohinders
Based in San Francisco, Michael Paratore—a former lawyer—left his suit and tie in the courtroom to be a shoe peddler. With his design partner, Kristen Morabito, they set out to create well-designed, wearable, long-lasting footwear that adheres to craftsmanship and low environmental impact. Each pair of Mohinders is made in Mumbai by 3rd and 4th generation crafts-(wo)men that have created a local organization—with Michael’s help—to produce these beautiful shoes for men and women.
Jungmaven
Born out of activism, Robert Jungmann learned that industrial hemp could help deforestation around the world. His mission is simple, "HEMP 2020"—a campaign to raise awareness around the positive environmental impacts of hemp farming. Thus starting Jungmaven to use the industrial hemp to create garments either purely out of hemp or using organic cotton blends.
Did we forget to mention the incredible tie-dye session for those who purchase their goods? Alongside them, Mary Joe CBD-infused cold brew and canned wines by Essentially Geared Wine Co will be served until the bar is dry.
